When it came to inspiration for their new home, a Chicago couple looked no further than the towering trees and woodsy surroundings of the project site. From its wood-clad exterior to the mix of natural finishes inside, this house is for the nature lover who also enjoys a touch of luxury.
The wooded lot not only offers privacy but also the feeling of a remote getaway in the middle of a Chicago suburb. Expansive windows throughout the home let in loads of light and picturesque, natural views. Interior design Amy Storm notes, “We used minimal art because the view is the art.” Nature is further echoed in white oak floors, a muted palette, and dramatic stone surfaces.
