Singer and songwriter Jade Lundgren knew that with the right touch, her dated 90s kitchen could become the perfect space for her and her family. The vision began by expanding its footprint into a neighboring room, letting in natural light and opening up the possibilities to design something both beautiful and functional. It would take months for her plans to be realized, but with its immaculate details and natural warmth, Jade’s dream kitchen was well worth the wait.
Like most renovations, Jade experienced plenty of setbacks along the way, including a change in design to accommodate a load-bearing wall that was too expensive to remove. She notes, “Problems can lead to creative solutions… We took that wall and made it into something cool. My kitchen wouldn’t be the same without all of the so-called problems.”
The revised plan resulted in a unique layout with a separate pantry and prep area. Along with smart design choices, this kitchen is truly one of a kind.
For anxious homeowners in the midst of their own renovations, Jade offers this advice, “Pray for patience and kindness, which is more beautiful than any kitchen.”
